Jaxon's very first time at the zoo! Jaxon and I had just spent a week in Lynden visiting while Paul was down south in Seattle doing an internship. Me, my mom, and Jaxon hit the road to go meet up with Paul and head to the ZOO! I was so very excited to see Jaxon's reaction to all the animals. We had a pretty good day overall. Just a couple toddler meltdowns. My mom, being the sweet woman that she is, bought Jaxon a souvenir at the zoo gift shop. She even let Jaxon pick it out all on his own. Jaxon picked out a super cute and soft stuffed elephant. It was the perfect way to end a fun day. Here's some pictures of our adventure.
My boys were ready and excited to explore the zoo!
HIPPOS!!
Watching the giraffes. :)
Visiting the lions, which Jaxon loved!
My boys. Not quite sure what Jaxon is doing here. Ha, maybe making some sort of animal noise?! ;) Silly kiddo.
The gorillas. Another one of Jaxon's favorites of the day.
So, Jaxon loved all the monkey statues except for this one......thinking the size of it was what scared him. Couldn't help but chuckle just a little bit.
My silly little monkey. (the bruise on his face came from a nasty fall he had at Audrey and Donnie's house earlier in the week. He feel while running and smacked his face on the heater vent. Poor kiddo.)
Me and my little family.
He just loved climbing all over the monkey statues. :)
We saved the best part of the day for last!! THE CAROUSEL! Mimi paid for Jaxon's very first ride on the carousel which was very special. Paul first put Jaxon on one of the middle horses that moves up and down but at soon as the ride started and the horse started moving he freaked out and started crying. Sooooo.....paul moved him to an outside horse that did not move up and down and then he was a very happy camper. Just look at that smile! I'd say we had a pretty successful day at the zoo and we can't wait to bring him back every year.
