So this last Friday (April 1) we made the 384.22 mile trek to Lynden! I was sooo super nervous about how Jaxon was going to do on the 6 hour drive but it turns out there was no need to worry. Jaxon did fantastic!! The drive over to Lynden went great. I sat in the back seat with him (I know totally the new mommy thing to do), and Jaxon slept the entire trip except for when we made the stop in Ellensburg to fill up on gas and feed him his bottle. The normally 6 hour drive took us just under 7 hours! Not bad! So once we got to Lynden we headed to my mom's house where my mom, Auntie Shara and Auntie Tracy were waiting for us. Jaxon got lots and lots of loves before we headed to bed. Saturday morning my sister Shara took our pictures! Oh my word they turned out amazing. LOVE LOVE LOVE them all!! Thanks sister!! :) After pictures we headed over to meet the great grandparents and great aunties on Paul's side of the family. Then it was off to spend some time with Grandpa Don (or as my dad calls himself Grandpa Husky). From there we went and had dinner with Paul's parents. I've forgotten how good Bob's is! Yum, one of my fav restaurants! So after an insanely busy Saturday we turned in early for the night. Thank goodness! We even got the chance to sleep in on Sunday morning!! Sunday afternoon Jaxon got to meet his Great Grandma DeGroot and Great Grandma Smith - along with the rest of the aunties, uncles and cousins. Mom had us all over for and early sunday dinner. Super yummy! So the last stop of the day was Donnie and Audrey's house. Auntie Audrey read Jaxon a story and we all watched the CMA's or whatever country music awards were on...lol I wasn't really paying that much attention to it can ya tell? ;)
Well here are some pictures from our very frist trip to Lynden as a family of 3!
